I use the warning feature on my MSS to tell me when 7K is reached. That gives me just a little bit to make the shift ok.

The non-lsd tranny is the one to get. It has the stronger case and gear stacks and is found everywhere for under $500! you can add a JGY or phantom grip LSD for dirt cheap, and it will perform ever...

yes, the final drive is the same on all but the 00-01 I thought. My FSM says 3.827 or something like that, and the nissan part numbers for the shafts are different.

I am so freakin excited! I found a local 1.8 trans for sale. It is out of a 2000 GXE sentra. It has some miles on it though, but it has the nice final drive. And best of all, it is under $150
