If I had to guess on why this makes more power, it would be because garrett runs small exhaust wheels that don't flow as much as the SC turbos. Anyone have the specs for them?
Let's just all see if we can group buy new P11/B15 trannies from Nissan. Tell them to bring back the SR too while we're at it! MR20 FTL. I was hoping this motor would actually be good. Sigh.
I wonder how this turbo is able to spool faster and make more power than a GT35R? It makes no sense at all. Larger, heavier wheels, that are not as efficient. Non bb. That is insane. I wanna see so...
It depends on your powerband and your power level. The SR16 box works perfectly for a peaky powerband and keeps you in the meat of it on the gearshift.
You shouldn't have many issues with the disco if you run low camber in the front, and utilize the boost by gear function. You should grip very very well. I know when I grip the car is a slingshot!
Dont use the 130lb spring unless revving over 10K, or you hate your valves. 100lbs is plenty of pressure to run stock VE cams to 9K, and SR16 or N1 can rev even higher.
I've always used a nylon brush/disk on my 90* die grinder. The nylon won't scratch the block, but removes all the old material in under 10 min easily. If you have an angle die grinder I would not h...
If you do upgrade, just save your pennies and do it right. A disco will own a 2871r, unless you get one of the newer 2871r's that can make a supposed 475hp... The 2871r doesn't seem to like boostin...
running stockers now. I like the look of the car. And I don't want the wheels to get stolen. I'd like to keep them low-key. I really like the SSR comps, and the motegi traklite.
I think I am going to do the maxima rears and the 11 inch willwoods or something. I think that would work out well with an altima master if it will bolt up.
