So this sintered iron, solid hub clutch that I bought is smoothe. It is a little bit noisy when it warms up. Sounds like I am crushing baby mice when I let the clutch out. Sqweeek lol. But it isn't...
If you keep spinning bearings you could have stretched rod bolts/rod, or a clogged oil passage in the crank. I would have everything measured, then cleaned and you should be good to go.
I think the oil is just shearing down really fast. 15W should have over 40psi at idle at all times with the GTiR pump. Hell, the 20w50 had almost 60psi warm at idle when it was fresh!
I put in some Mobil 15w50 in my car a few days ago. I really hate this oil. My oil pressure has dropped to below 25psi at idle. The Rotella NEVER went that low. It is a little frustrating because t...
This guy is referring to the TAO puddle that collects on the intake manifold, Right? And yes, you can have a lean condition from stock Fuel cuts on turbo engines, even NA ones. It is rare, but it h...
This manifold was bastardized. I made the collector how I wanted it, and the guy who was going to weld everything was too busy. So I took it to the shop down the street and they built it out of wha...
I have just been made aware that the Rotella 5w40 is reformulated to meet the CJ4 standards now. Not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing though. Could be either one, since it required a ref...
IIRC the rads are the same. I am currently using a 1" thick all-alum radiator. The hoses are 1 3/8" that are clamped over the 1.6L hose-ends. I thought for sure this was going to leak when I tried ...
I think the response is where you put the MAF. Closer to the TB and the crisper the throttle response is, but you must maintain a distance to get accurate readings.
Oh boy I wish I had saved my old dyno graphs. I had the gap set at .038" and did a pull on high boost. I was making over 10lb ft of torque consistently across the entire band, and more in some plac...
Bigger gap= better response, idle, fuel economy, and power. A smaller gap is used when tons of air is crammed into the cylinder and the coil is unable to product a spark. More air= higher resistanc...
Nismo only ran 4cw cranks in their race KA motors and few others. There are few advantages to a 4cw crank, I didn't notice much difference in how quickly the revs climbed, but I'm sure there is one...
The turbo will have to spin a lot faster to achieve the same boost pressure if there is a leak in the system. If the compressor cannot move enough air, this will be seen as a drop in boost pressure...
Any boost leaks are going to lead to the turbo spinning faster to acheive the same boost pressure, regardless of where the leak is. It will just be perceived d...
