This was a clutch specialties clutch. It was rated for 400lb ft at the fly, it broke loose at 350 wtq. The pressure plate was really really good, and this was my favorite clutch I have EVER had. It...
Well I got the turbo back today and put the compressor housing on. The turbine housing is at my friends house and he is going to bring it by tomorrow. This turbo really looks amazing. I had a littl...
By shortening the length of the shifter above the ball, you reduce the length your hand has to travel in order to complete the shift. Isn't that what a short shifter is supposed to do?
It doesn't matter if you shorten the top, or move the fulcrum. You are still just modifying the throw by changing the method. Of course, my hacked off stock one still shifts like stock, isn't notch...
I'm telling you, the full-alum unit i have has the 1.6L inlet and outlet sizes, but it is very simple to fix! Put a 1.6 rad hose on the radiator, then put the 2.0 hose over the 1.6. Done.
VET specs yet??? I am very anxious to see how these fair. There is speculation that the VET high lobe may be a higher-lift profile of the 20V exhaust ;)
My six-puck ceramic felt just like stock. No chatter at all. but others have had a bit of chatter. I would use the disk you have now and upgrade the pp.
I have gotten a chance to play around with some materials for some practice. But now I am wondering about the pipe size. I see tons of people running a SCH40 stainless in 1.5" and I think that is a...
I missed this post a while back when this forum was launched. I have tried to support this site, and have stopped going to the other one unless I am rediculously bored. I think I have posted there ...
It shortens the throw by reducing the length of the lever. Imagine a see-saw where both sides are the same lenght, and they both move the same total distance. But remove some length off of one side...
Try giving Brian at clutch specialties a call. You can find him online. Just ask him how much a high capacity pp is and he can even calculate the torque capacity for you.
02 sensors are really only accurate through part of their range. Like 13-15:1 ratios. It reads 0-1V max, higher voltage is more fuel. The wideband uses a 1-5V signal. It reads opposite. 1V would be...
The new ones use a real wideband signal, but I don't know how much of it is used for factory tuning. They call them air/fuel ratio sensors instead of O2 sensors.
I took a hack saw to mine. I cut it off just below the stock shift knob. I wrapped the metal with some gorrilla tape (electrical tape works pretty good too), then I put a new shift knob on and scre...
Well, this poll will continue for some time, so we can see if there is a trend here. Obviously there are certain brands that people prefer to use. For instance: the pennzoil platinum is really real...
It is likely that the tube seals leak enough to drip down the sides of the plug wells, and not leak oil onto the ceramic. It prob just seeped down onto the plug base, then when they were taken out ...
