The specific output in BTU for Ethanol is way less than gasoline. Unless you are taking advantage of high compression or high boost levels, I doubt you will see any significant gains in power.

When you get the VET cams is there any way you can have them checked out for specs on the exhaust cam. Particularly the duration of that cam high lobe?

Yikes, sounds like an oil pump problem. I don't know how that would affect the pump unless something internally broke.
