That's good to know. If I do break the 200whp mark by 3800rpm, then that is only 300rpm quicker than the log manifold. But it is a bigger ex housing anyway.
Anyone know what kind of difference these leaks pre-turbo would do to spool and response? I am really anxious to see what happens with the new manifold, especially with all the leaks fixed. I just ...
I have pauters that are machined to accept both 17mm and 19mm bearings. Not really worth having a 19mm bearing, unless you are going to be putting a very serious load on the engine for a long time....
You may quicken response with a smaller housing, but I don't know if you will actually spool the turbo much faster. Not on these particular engines anyway. But I am always anxious to see your resul...
Pulled the manifold off today to discover some things. The exhaust manifold gasket had a leak on cyl #4. The gasket fell apart in my hands. Good thing the new one is MLS.
I think the little centri charger will work great. A nice smooth powerband, but furious when VVL hits. Should be a nice compromise between a full out NA build and a turbo build.
Do you have a fuel pressure gauge on the car. If so I would inspect the pressure to see if it drops immediately after you shut the car off. If it does, then maybe a bad oring?
Oh, okay. Ya I get confused. I would love to try a 1.06 divided housing on this turbo just to see what it does. It seems like the real twin scroll turbos are hugely affected by their twin-scroll de...
I have new Cardone axles. I broke 2 all motor doing burnouts with the VE. I must have a magical set now because I haven't broken one since. I am just praying that the driver side doesn't break insi...
Very good idea imo. I think the VE will respond very well to this supercharger. And even more so with some SR16 cams. High revs and this charger will come alive, and expect volumetric efficiency to...
It's all about the widest powerband. If I can get power from 4000-8000rpm then it will make for a very stout powerband, with peak power around 7000rpm. The extra revs help with reducing the power ...
I may just end up doing that. I don't really wanna have to rev extremely high to make good power, as my limitation is the JWT computer at this point. I would love to make a high revving sr16 monste...
