Oh my bad. It must have been 4th gear. I won't go over the speed limit for th tires, so that makes sense. But ya, the fastest I got in the NA VE was 130. In 4th not 5th. It's been a few years.
he is probably suggesting b13 or p10. The OBD2 cars have a crank sensor, and most fidanza flywheels trigger a CEL. If you don't have a crank sensor, then get the fidanza.
This may be true, but I have bounced mine daily for 12K miles without issue so far. Granted I may not get to my goal of 100K miles on this build, but meh. I want a safe limit to prevent float.
Has anyone seen or experienced this in person? I have a few guys here who have dynod at sea level and up here, and their corrected numbers are really really close.
9k rev limit would be sick. But really I just want to have a broader powerband and that can only be had buy building boost really quick, and holding power as long as possible.
Since I am at high altitude I am looking for about 460-480whp max before this turbo can't keep up. Guys are getting about 550whp at sea level. I have been the "big boost" route and now I would like...
I have an sr16VE head, so I am not sure which springs I have in there now. But I can tell you the ramp angles on the VET cams is way more aggressive than the standard VE cams. I run to 7500rpm now ...
I am changing to a tubular manifold next month. So I will likely go with the sr16 cams if the standard 20ve cams don't give me the power I want. I really want to make the most power I can without u...
Thanks for taking the time to read it Ben. The only thing is the math, and it is something that can be a little confusing.
12.5 is only 85% of 14.7, (this is where you get 15%)
but 14.7 compared...
It depends on the ve. 20VE is 10.3, 16VE and 20V are 11:1. I would imagine you need at least 87 octane, and that depends on where you live. Higher elevation will need less octane.
Try this... Put your finger over the breather hole and give it a sec. You can feel the vacuum after just a sec. It isn't really strong, but the vacuum is enough to pull extra unmetered air into the...
Another thing to consider about blowby is the lifespan of your oil. Blowby degrades oil faster by thinning it out. A bit of fuel vapor is part of the blowby. There are t...
