Newer SR's have a one way valve that makes no noise when shaking it. You have to blow into it and make sure it works right. But it sounds like you are pressurizing the crankcase with boost.
Thanks for bringing this to all of our attention. No harm done, the problem will be resolved. But this clears up a lot of things for those using these pulleys. Thanks for your time and commitment t...
We dynod a mustang last night. We gained 100lb ft of torque, and 40whp on a T76 turbo setup just by taking the oil cap off. That is how much relieving the crankcase pressure helped.
Going from sea level to 4500ft? Perhaps not, but it is close. Think of it this way. Is 80whp worth a full second? Maybe not, but it def makes a huge difference.
absolutely. At idle the pcv valve sucks in air from the vc. The vacuum in the manifold sucks in air through the pcv valve. Now imagine if your pcv valve were not inserted into the valve cover. At i...
This is exactly what I was talking about. Great job with the visual aid. As you can see here, this is the ideal setup. Adding a check valve in-line to the hose that goes from the catch can to the i...
I must have lost you with my description. Yes the pcv valve sucks in air from the valvecover at idle right? Well imagine if you have your oil cap off. You are basically making a vacuum leak. Air is...
At this altitude I at my 24psi I made 442whp. At sea level it is 442whp. The correction factor is 1.18. So that puts me around 375whp down to the ground at that moment. Sounds weak doesn't it? Well...
Interesting experiment. Take a drink that you get at any fast food restaurant. Like Mcdonalds. Now with your drink filled up blow across the top of the straw really hard. It is easier if you use a ...
Vadim is right, you must take into account metered air! Not only that but you have to look at pressures. The whole point is to reduce crankcase pressure to make more power and reduce oil consumptio...
haha. Wow I agree with alot of the remarks. I would like to have one of the fastest SE sentras, I know I can't compete with all the 10sec cars but the car should be solid for mid 11s right now at t...
I thought about using one but I changed my mind last minute. I was told the overall quality wasn't that great on the cranks, but they look pretty badass to me.
People have been making rediculous power on the stock block without sleeving. I guess it just depends on where you want to spend the money. I haven't heard of ANY sr breaking sleeves on the stock 8...
That looks nuts. Good job on the manifold. That turbo is huge but I hear good things about the twin scroll designs from atp on the gt35r. Good for 600whp and very responsive. Anything ball bearing ...
I am running blow thru. I like it, but I think response and driveability would be improved in my setup if I did two things: Move the maf farther from the tb, use 3" piping on the cold side so all p...
I don't think you wanna be shifting to 5th gear before the end of the quarter. My p11 seems like this with a 205/55r15.
according to the guage rev to 7500:
1st 35
2nd 60+
3rd 97
4th 130+
