the whole point of the pcv system is to reduce crankcase pressure. So you don't really need the pcv valve if you are NA, but it reduces emissions. When you are turbo you need some sort of more adva...
Well, it isn't entirely true that 20psi on a gt35r would spin tires. It hits a lot later in the powerband than my turbo and I don't spin that bad on all-seasons. I bet 24psi on my turbo could be ha...
Any other impressions? I think the motegi, though not very stiff, would suit my car well. If I can get them cheap that is. If I can't get a good deal on them then I will prob get the kosei K1. I li...
I think the VE would respond well with parts designed to work together for max power. Cams are a big one. The intake manifold from the factory is pretty good, and the N1 ported flows really good on...
Wheels and suspension are being looked at now. Just looking for a good deal. The lightweight flywheel is going back in, though I may just trade it for a fidanza. ...
maybe I am wrong, but when you pull the pcv valve out of the vc with the engine running, you should have vacuum on the end of it. When the engine is operating wot the valve closes and excess crankc...
what are your guys' driving impressions with light wheels. I found some used trak lites for $600 with tires and I think they are 15x6.5". The tires still have tread on them and I was thinking of pi...
dang, i would have never thought that that was your issue! too much boost lol. What gap are you running? I run .029" on mine all the way up to 26psi and no spark blowout yet. on .032 I blow it out ...
no valve springs. I don't know how high the VET cams can rev so I don't wanna push it. I wanna make awesome midrange power. If I have to rev over 8k to make 500whp then it isn't the kind of powerba...
A bigger AR will give more lag, but not as much as a bigger trim will. It is generally better to stay with a smaller trim and bigger ar to help spooling.
Open downpipe dyno coming soon :D What do you guys think? How much more power will she make with no puny exhaust to push through? I am betting/hoping for 20whp gain with open dp.
Boost leak... rich missfire is what it sounds like. It happened on my car once and it turned out to be a hole in the intercooler. It acted like a rev limiter just like you said. It would hit about ...
Ya I am guessing about an 11.9 with 1.8 60'. Car pulls like crazy up top, but not quite as good as yours I see. My 4th gear tops out at 130+ so it isn't the best gearing to accelerate from. But the...
I noticed that your 2nd run had a higher mph. why is this? Better 60'? more boost? I am trying to figure out why I did such a horrible mph this last weekend. 13.3 @ 114mph, 2.3 60'. If I drop my 60...
I am 100% positive that slicks will result in a higher mph. Normally this isn't the case and mph stays the same, but I have talked to a few of my friends and they say that with the way the gearing ...
go bigger ar. bigger wheels usually sacrifice efficiency, though they flow more. The bigger ar would have less lag and will make around 20hp more while reducing backpressure.
I know the tune has a lil left on the table. Andy, the ac is coming out lol. It doesn't work anymore anyway. Compressor took a dump so it will be coming out very soon.
Nah, I am cool with the tune. This track run was about 348whp uncorrected. Don't look at my dyno numbers and figure the car should be doing better. It should. But this was about 20psi which at sea ...
congrats man. Killer runs. It seems like the track didn't hook as well the second time around eh? I did worse on my 2nd run too. Couldn't put any power down at all. Looks like you lost about the sa...
