so how about a chrome gti-r one....????
That's what I am talking about! They do make alot of covers, but they sell them over in the UK and austraila.
Whats the details on this set-up? What a/r, internal WG, etc....
Will it bolt up to the gtir stock manifold?
Thanks:bigthumbup:
DAMN, bad time for me:cry:
Please keep me on your list though. I'll have the money at the end of feburary, so don't forget about me!
Greg, I am interested so if you find one let me know.
Thanks
john
btw I am located on the east coast
Because I like to see proof, thats all.....
Also there are some very knowledgeable people on here and I would like to get there opinions on it.
Well jgy actually told me not to buy there manifold if i was just using a stock gtir turbo, gt28r, or a gt28rs because the gtir manifold flowed good enough for those turbo's. They said there manifo...
Now do those (jgy) manifolds flow any better then a gti-r? Basically is it worth it to swap them out when I get the 2871r?
I guess N60's are good for more power then I thought. I have access to about 15 of these maf's, but people don't wanna pay for them....oh well
Nice power man!
Dude, I was having the same problem and found out that I was missing the nut that holds the long bolt that holds the alt. to the car. Just a idea.....also trying not tightening it as much.

Looking for some s3m dyno numbers???
Red clutchnet sprung 6 puck with a red stage 3 red clutchnet pressure plate. Hold like a champ! Now I am not making 359whp just yet, but will be in a bout a month or so....
Looks like I'll be purchasing a 2871r w/.86a/r, a set a jwt s3m's, and b15 or p11 tranny to hold the power! There goes my income taxes:rofl:
Great thread guys. I am loving the great info I am ge...
I am running 72lb msd's , so fueling shouldn't be a issue and remmeber my timing is set at 20* as per the base timing for the gtir. I plan on running 20-24 psi with some nice high octane at the tra...
Ok, so i am still confused on which housing to get .64 or the .86??? I want streetable power, but also want to be able to run 11's @ 20psi and track down most any car dwn on the highway, which I am...
Where can this turbo be bought and how much? Link please?
I think we have way better tracks here, run slicks, and those gtirs gotta be alot heavier then my stripped b13? Who knows, but whatever the case the 3071r's powerband is not for me. I think I'll st...
I was told the .86 would be laggy and not good for street use and that the 64 would give me a better streetable powrband? what do you think? I want something that is going to kick in low and fast a...
So a gt3071r is a no go I guess.....
Is this turbo jgy sells? Because I was looking at getting a plain old gt2871r with a .64a/r, so I can have a sick azz mid range and a nice topend to bo...
My buddy told me that that turbo needs a t3 flange to work properly....Do you have any details on his set-up? And if possible a dyno sheet??
Wow this thread really excites me. I am also running the gt28r turbo on my gtir with a stock gtir manifold, 2.5" intercooler piping, 3" dp and side exit exhaust, 72lb msd's, etc.....Anyway I plan t...
I wasn't having any problems. It won't support the kinda of power I am looking for (400whp)
Ok, man you are a little confused. A N62(orange label) is from a 300zxtt maf and is good for 500whp+ and the N60(purple label) is form a 90-94 maxima and is good to like 350whp.
hope this helps
just get a n62 and be done with it.
I was having similar problems with the n60, so i decided to just go to the n62.
