sticking EGR valve?

never heard of that one. hmmmm.

timing mark on the ground strap is too high up the plug, towards the threads. Looks like excessively high EGT or too much timing.

Here you can see the difference between mounting on the lower radiator mount-tabs, and mounting on the frame rail. See how much lower the koyo sits in the first pic?

Not good signs bro. Too much heat in that engine. Any other signs that this was occurring other than the plug-reading?

I don't know, but even if they fixed it... I wouldn't run the risk. SR20Racer had his hood fly up and smash the roof in a bit on his B13. :(

Try mounting a long-runner tubular manifold in there with that fat 1.06 housing. :poke:

That's pretty much why I had to remove the upper radiator support. IF the koyo were placed in the factory...

See, that's the beauty of running MAF over speed-density. Mass flow rate can be tuned to accept a lot of change in VE and still work amazingly well. That's why MAFs are better.
