The bov will be seen as a restriction when you start getting surge on the shift. If you start surging then you need to go bigger. I don't see anyone needing an upgrade until pushing over 500whp.

You cant use the sr16 fd unless you have the mainshaft from an sr16 as well. The pinion has to match the fd/ring gear.

my NA VE didn't get 30mpg unless highway. I think I averaged 28mpg, 24 city and 32-33 highway.

Hell, my wife's auto GA16 doesn't get much better than 28mpg unless i drive like a complete sissy.
