the transient respond is night and day. At 4000rpm you stab it, she goes. No wait for 3 seconds while building boost. Seriously, the car is stupid responsive. the TS will literally spool the turbo ...
^^^ that's what my mounts looked like after like 3K miles. I thought it was normal lol. They are still in there. Only the rear looks like that though. I went with a solid front dogbone. Courtesy of...
I'm not really concerned about the longevity of this motor. If it lasts 10K miles it has served its purpose for me. Not like they are expensive. Brakes get changed just as often and are more expens...
yea, the rule pump works decent. When it goes bad I will get the bosch. But it came with the kit for only $200. I bought it used off a friend. But it worked awesome on his car. I am hoping the hood...
OBD1 cars don't have crank sensors. You just have the cam sensor in the dizzy. You could try swapping out the dizzy since they are everywhere and really cheap. Just to try it.
Never did dyno this setup on high boost with the old intercooler. It went fast at the track, trapped 122mph which is probably around 440-450whp up here at least. Corvette ZO6 only trap around 118 o...
I had to run a reservoir in order to purge all the air from the system. I will post pics here in a bit. The setup seems to work ok. But the underhood temps get very hot still. The water in the rese...
ok I got it circulating water. Turns out you have to force feed the pump some water to get it started with pumping. Now it seems to work fine, just gotta add my super custom, trick, badass reservoi...
The low side pressure will change based on temp outside. R12 is expensive, but operates at lower temps. You'll want about 45-50psi on R134a if it is 80+*F outside.
I still fail to see how you got creep so bad on a mid-large frame turbo. I ran a 10psi spring to start in my first GT30r setup .63 on a log manifold with crap wastegate placement and still never go...
Hey ashton, did you ever try running lower boost to see if you still got creep? I never had any issues with my 38mm creeping until running over 24psi. Seeing as how it would creep, I didn't feel it...
Ya, you may be just fine doing it. Worth a try. All my subaru friends do it, and though they admit it seems to slow spool on the shift, it still seems to run ok.
