man you need some cams! I bet just cams alone will get you where you want to be for that boost level. My old DET with S3 and JWT tune put out 290whp on 18psi. That turbo was way over-done at this a...
That is actually the whole point of having a water cooled turbo. No turbo timer needed, and you don't have to worry about coking of the bearings like in an oil-cooled turbo.
That is exactly my reasoning for why this is a good deal. You could just build the motor and have a high compression motor with new everything. Yes it will cost more money, but it will outperform a...
True in most cases. But I spent 1200 on a ve once to find out it had a cracked head. And guess what? No warranty. So I guess it is best to ask questions.
I've been seeing a lot of VEs going for under $800 now. It isn't worth spending .01 more honestly, since I've seen them go to a local shop for ~$600 in really good shape. I'd look for a decent one ...
The larger STG 5 wheel will spool slower, even with the .63 housing. But it flows more. I would go with the biggest exhaust wheel possible, but that is me. VE head of course.
They don't really wear out too bad on the SR, even with really heavy clutches. But use the ones with the kit if you can. Might as well replace them when you do all of them.
I would check the order of all the check balls and make sure they are all in the right place. I did a full-build write-up. Search for it in the how-to section.
They used to use different materials in older batteries to make the lead "paste" for the plates. Old school batteries used lead-antimony, and newer batteries will not require normal maintenance sin...
Eek. Not sure about that big ass housing. It is worth a shot to see what happens. You can always change housings, but with that being a T4 1.15 housing, it is likely going to be too much exhaust fl...
GTiR should have more interference with the cams because the GTiR has a larger combustion chamber, and the pistons have less dish. The stock DET pistons have plenty of clearance.
