remember the bolts that hold that housing on go right into the exhaust stream. Could choke it up pretty good. I cut mine down quite a bit and they still come into the exhaust flow more than I like.

If you put a smaller exhaust housing on then you will def lose power all-around. The loss will be more severe if you are running larger cams than stock.
