weird because I noticed this new CHRA had some thrust play in it. And sometimes my BOV doesn't open when at low rpm so there is just a little bit of flutter. Not anywhere near worrisome levels thou...
These are the new V38s. They are smaller by a lot. They came out about a year ago. Talked to ATP today and they said to send them back so they can inspect them and get me new ones.
Well, at least the car runs good now. Just gotta get new gates and find out why the turbo like to force feed engine oil into my pipes. Then it is all good again.
I've been using the synchromesh for a few weeks now, but I don't know if I can 100% recommend it. It works great, but I think it may be too thin for our trannies. My tr...
The car feels incredible SE-Rican! Pulls very nice. I kept the dizzy attatched to the cam cap as to not disturb timing at all. So the next dyno will be an exact comparison from the VET cams. Not on...
I would like to add that I did not remove the dizzy from the cam cap. I wanted timing to be completely 100% unchanged for when this thing goes to the dyno. I can't wait to see if the VE cams are be...
Ok I went out for a drive. This car is retarded. I have no idea if it is making more power than before, but it rips them loose in 3rd still! That's what I'm talkin bout!
remember the bolts that hold that housing on go right into the exhaust stream. Could choke it up pretty good. I cut mine down quite a bit and they still come into the exhaust flow more than I like.
True. The car reacted to 4* of timing. It is now at a true 15* base timing. The datalogs show 22* of timing at 7K with 24psi of boost. I honestly don't think I want to keep pushing it. 22* seems li...
If you put a smaller exhaust housing on then you will def lose power all-around. The loss will be more severe if you are running larger cams than stock.
I was tempted to keep going with the timing, but the car is very very loud and there is no way to monitor knock at the moment. I had one guy with muffs on right up next to the engine to try and det...
