Not to get off topic, but I was thinking of posting this on the old forum. I would like to share any info on this with the community... but I won't. Because that site is just too damn slow lol.
Ya it makes me wanna give those stock cams a try again... but I know they still won't like the small housing. It would be nice to see how they do though.
I wish I could log the boost. Hits 15psi easy at 3700-3800rpm, it just doesn't start charging hard until about 5000rpm still. I guess the Volumetric efficiency isn't in a sweet spot till then.
So there is some new results out. TS tubular manifold .78ar divided housing, vs a log manifold .63 housing. Both graphs are 24psi, 3rd gear pulls. All I did to make more power was put my timing bac...
I would love to see a rotrex supercharger on a VE. I bet it would be sick. Hell, a rotrex on anything would have some pretty amazing results with some big cams/headwork.
I shouldn't ever have issues with creep with the two wastegates, and I dont thing there is a downside to running this divided manifold on an undivided turbo.
Well... with all this stuff I've been checking up on. I wonder how well a GT3076r compressor would do with a larger turbine wheel from a 35r... Since the 76mm compressor can flow good enough for 50...
I did find this dyno just now on a couple of STIs:
Same setups, but different manifold/housing combo. This is a .63ar tial housing GT35r vs a T4 1.06 GT35r.

the 3071r will make a lot more power than the disco. It flows better all around. But the restrictive .63 and .78 housings will get their butts kicked by the .86ar in both the disco and the 3071r.

Is this a better comparison?
Disco potato T2 .86ar. 53.8mm 76 trim turbine. 46.9mm turbine exducer.

True, but the trim is only part of the picture as to why the wheel flows the way it does. Larger wheels in smaller trims can flow just as much or more, and can have higher efficiency.
I found this dyno graph. 19psi runs on a DET motor. 2871r .64 vs the 3071r .78.

Thanks ashton. I like the SC61. Even with a .63ar housing, the SC61 turbine will kill the flow of a .63 T31 turbine. It wouldn't even be close! We're talkin about 70-74mm 75trim turbines compared t...
What housing was manny running again? .82 on the SC61? Even if he was running a .70 it would still flow tons more than this small T31 turbine. The SC61 is somewhere around 75mm right?
No man its all good. I need the feedback. I have done a lot of experimenting with this motor and I've learned a lot already. It just seems like I am going about things the wrong way t...
